Meet The Team
Gerry McManus:
Gerry has wide experience of the management of operations and maintenance in the telecoms industry. He started his career as a BT apprentice and subsequently a qualified field-based engineer. After some 13 years with BT he was appointed as a manager in BT Oxford. Subsequently, Gerry moved to Siemens Communications where he spent 5 years as a Technical Support Manager. Gerry then became a founding shareholder and Operations Director for Telecom Technology Maintenance Limited - ttml and after 9 years took over as Managing Director. Following the acquisition of ttml by Echo Communications 2004, Gerry remained as Operations Director for a further year as part of the arrangement. Gerry formed GHM communications in October 2005.
Gerry’s interests include Football Golf and Cycling and is a Manchester United Fan.
Neil McManus:
Neil is an experienced Telecoms professional with a back ground in Systems, Fixed Line and Mobile communications. Neil Started in Telecoms career with ttml as an apprentice having served his apprenticeship and gaining a HNC in Telecommunications. Neil quickly moved into project management where he managed large-scale project in the UK and Europe. Neil then became Installation Manager with Echo Communications where he was responsible for the system implementation for the business. Neil then spent several years in the mobile communications arena in various commercial positions where he gained vast knowledge in this area. Neil joined GHM communications as a Director in October 2007 with remit of business development. Neil was a finalist in the Oxfordshire Business Awards 2010.
In his spare time Neil is a sports nut following his local team Oxford United and playing local football.
Simon Hayler:
Simon has recently joined GHM and brings to the team his extensive knowledge of network operator and telecom hardware sales. Simon has held account management positions at both Cable & Wireless and COLT Telecom, followed by hardware sales of Alcatel, Samsung, Nortel & Swyx IP telephone solutions.
Mark Baptiste:
Mark has over 20 Years of experience in the installation and maintenance of communications solutions. Mark Started his telecoms career with Interconnect (now Samsung) as a field engineer Mark then spent 12 years working for ttml where he became engineering manager. Mark joined the GHM team in 2007 to head up our installation team.
Mark is a Liverpool fan and has a keen interest in grass roots football in the Bucks area.
Stan Matthews:
Stan joined GHM Communications as Technical Manager after fifteen years in the telecommunications industry, having previously worked at Alternative Networks in London.
As you may have guessed by the name, Stan is a very keen football fan supporting Liverpool and helping out with his local football team in his home town. Stan is married to Alison and has a one year old son called Oliver.
Rubbel Syed:
Rubbel is an Account Manager at GHM Communications and has been in the technology industry since the start of his career having worked at CI-net in Kidlington, Acenseo in Reading and Network Technology Systems in Witney.
Aidan McManus:
Aidan is Implementation Manager at GHM Communications and manages projects right through from the design phase to their actual installation. Seven years’ experience at BT and five years’ with what once was Oxford Magnets have given Aiden both the account management and technical expertise to make such a role possible.
