Project Manager

Location: 90% office based (Sutton Courtenay Oxfordshire) 10% Remote

Responsible for delivering  WIFI Integration and Telephony projects (typically 20-30 live projects valuing £30k-£100k), working with the project team to deliver the customers’ requirements.

  • Specific duties include planning and execution of multiple projects to meet expected delivery requirements by:
  • Arrange all customer meetings and Project planning, identifying specific timelines for delivery
  • Proficient in documentation creation to include: PID, Scope of Works, Change control.
  • Project tracking, through project lifecycle
  • Identify key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Creation of project scope
  • Successful deployment of the project scope
  • Identify all risks and creation of issue log with recommendations and proposals to resolve
  • Financial tracking of all project costs relating to the project
  • Resource allocation and management
  • Identify reporting requirements
  • Mange and deal with 3rd party contractors to ensure pre-requisites are meet prior to deployment
  • Manage suppliers through escalation
  • Liaise with all business units associated with the project including sales, network services and operations
  • Identify RISKS and GAPS that could affect project delivery
  • Provide solutions to negate RISKS
  • Provide clients and 3rd party contractors with RAMS and SSRAMS
  • Manage and motivate all members of cross functional teams (direct and virtual) to deliver project services
  • Maintain and improve the processes, procedures and systems to support all projects.
  • Reduce the end to end delivery time for all projects through continual improvement analysis.
  • Lead by example and provide escalation support to the teams when resolving project delivery issues, resource issues
  • Assume responsibility for the order management and delivery of all network services to client businesses. (responsible for Network services Virtual Team)
  • Responsible for all escalations to 3rd party network suppliers

Background: 

  • Telecommunications industry experience with a particular focus on Telephone Systems, WIFI and Network Services
  • Previous experience of working with Telecoms providers.
  • Experience in the Care Sector
  • Good knowledge of Network topology an advantage
  • Experienced in the delivery of WIFI and Telecommunications rollouts
  • Experience in managing infrastructure transition or transformation projects
  • Knowledge of change management, risk management, setting up and initiating projects
  • Demonstrated experience in managing escalations
  • Analytical and critical thinking; decisive and innovative problem solving capability for complex issues
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and organisational experience
  • Strong project planning and process improvement skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Able to balance an operational, pragmatic approach to decision making, whilst ensuring appropriate risk management

Qualifications: 

  • Qualified as a Prince2 Practitioner
  • Educated to degree level
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certified (preferred)
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite (Microsoft project, word, excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Previous experience working with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics)
